BUS PEOPLE 2009

The exhibit Bus People was installed inside public buses from July to December 2009 in Anchorage, Alaska.

The painted poems in this show describe people experiencing public–private moments while riding a bus. The paintings describe a specific person, but are abstract in the sense that no part of the human body is represented.

Exhibited in the space usually allotted for advertisements inside public buses in Anchorage, these portraits are unobtrusive and anonymous—as humans tend to be in the midst of public transportation.

Each painting is $85. Each print is $35.
